Do you know an innovative, young farmer? Would you like them to be recognized?
On February 1, 2019, Farm Credit Associations of North Carolina will sponsor the Innovative Young Farmer award at the Tobacco Farm Life Museum's "Breakfast with the Commissioner" in Raleigh, NC.
North Carolina's future is dependent on educated and dedicated young farmers. Whether they are currently working on the farm, or studying for a career in agribusiness, these individuals need to be recognized for their enthusiasm to continue and expand the field of agriculture.
The Tobacco Farm Life Museum realizes the importance of rewarding the hard work, and innovative thinking of our young farmers in North Carolina. As you know, the average age of our farmers is increasing, and the number of farms is decreasing. However, the need for food and fiber is on the rise.
