Cape Fear Farm Credit is working diligently to support businesses to help them access funds through the Small Business Administration (SBA) Paycheck Protection Program: a loan program to assist small businesses nationwide adversely impacted by the COVID-19 emergency. The program is designed to provide a direct incentive for small businesses to keep their workers on payroll by providing funds to pay up to 8 weeks of payroll costs including benefits and certain other expenses, up to $10 million.
On April 24, Congress refunded the Small Business Association Paycheck Protection Program (SBA PPP) with an additional $310 billion to help prevent workers from losing their jobs and support small businesses due to COVID-19 disruptions. We have been advised that the Small Business Administration will resume accepting PPP loan applications on Monday April 27, at 10:30am EST from approved lenders on behalf of any eligible borrower.
We know this is a difficult time for businesses, and we are striving to support our members during this pandemic. If you're interested in learning more about the program, please review the details on this page.
